Convert all fonts used to paths or embed them completely in the document. This ensures that the font is displayed correctly.

Create your print data exclusively in the CMYK colour space. RGB colours are not suitable for printing.

Pantone colours cannot be printed directly in digital printing and are simulated using CMYK as standard. However, Pantone colours are available on request.

The resolution of embedded images should be at least 300 dpi.

The size of your fonts should be at least 6 pt.

The line thickness in your print data should be at least 0.2 mm.

Black design elements (e.g. fonts, lines, areas, barcodes and QR codes) can be printed in four colours on request. However, for good legibility and lower ink coverage, we always recommend 100% K (0C / 0M / 0Y / 100K).

Maintain a safety margin of at least 3.0 mm on all sides of the die contour and all creases, as slight registration variations may occur during die cutting.

Save your print data as a PDF in PDF/X-4:2010 format.

Create your print data with a bleed margin of 2.0 mm.

The application of opaque white is only necessary for coloured cardboards (e.g. brown, black). To do this, duplicate the element to be overprinted and arrange it in the background. Create this as a spot colour with the name ‘HPI-White’ (20% cyan) and set the upper element to ‘Overprint’.
