WHERE ARE LABELS ON ROLLS USED?

Labels on rolls are used wherever you want to label products, transported goods and their packaging. For example, chemical products must be provided withadvisory ; Foods with a list of all essential ingredients. 

Today self-adhesive labels are therefore used in almost every industry. Our labels on rolls are also used in various sectors, such as for the marking of: 

• food(all our labels are HACCP-conform) 
• pet food 
• drinks 
• cosmetics 
• medicine 
• electrical goods 
• industry products 
• goods in transit (in the logistics) 

Therefore it does not matter whether the particular products are packed in cardboard boxes, glass bottles, plastic bags or containers made of other materials. You can use our roll labels universally - even in areas where the adhesive labels come into contact with dampness, caustic, greases and other lubricants. Our labels ensure the identification of your products. 

WHAT TYPES OF ROLL LABELS ARE THERE?

With us, you will find the right labels for each of your requirements. It doesn't matter whether you need labels for goods identification or stickers for other applications, we produce and print entirely according to your ideas. This means that you have a large selection of shapes, colors, designs and label types at your disposal: 

• Printed labels are already printed by us and thus delivered to you ready on a roll. You can create your desired labels with the help of our configurator. You simply send us the print data afterwards (more on this later). If you wish, we can even personalize printed labels individually. Thanks to digital printing, changing codes and designs are no problem, even within a label series.
• Unprinted labels, also known as blank labels, are supplied without a pre-print. These are used primarily where the imprint (or labeling) is to be made at the point of use, for example with the help of a private thermal transfer printer.
• Labels in various shapes and sizes: The decision about the shape and size of your roll labels is also entirely up to you - it doesn't matter whether round, square or with a guarantee seal. Even stickers in special shapes are possible. All you have to do is tell us the correct dimensions for the punching process.

HOW ARE ROLL LABELS CONSTRUCTED?

Roll labels are wound on a roll for easy further processing and handling. This involves a roll core, which is usually made of thick cardboard. The standard for the diameter of the backing roll has become 76 mm or 3 inches. But what about the labels themselves?

These adhere to a liner that is adapted to the individual label material in order to ensure optimum processing. The labels remain on this paper until they are removed and glued. To simplify the removal of the labels, the liner is often provided with silicone on the adhesive side of the label. 

As soon as the label is applied to a product, packaging or other target surface, our permanent adhesive develops its full adhesive power within a few hours. During this time, moisture as well as major temperature fluctuations should be avoided. 

Important: To ensure that the roll labels can be applied correctly to the surface to be covered by a labeling machine, it is important that you pay attention to the correct winding direction when configuring your labels on a roll. If the winding direction is not correct, the label will later adhere to the target surface in the wrong orientation, i.e. rotated by 90°, 180° or 270°.

THE MATERIALS: PAPER OR FOIL LABELS?

In order to give you the perfect labels for every application, we offer you a selection of different label materials - from classic label paper to particularly resistant films. Which material is the best choice depends primarily on the external influences that affect the adhesive labels during transport, storage and product use. The following materials are available:

• Label paper, matte (for indoor and dry applications)
• Textured paper/wine paper (for indoor use, dry area)
• PP foil, white (for indoor and outdoor use, dry & wet)
• PP foil, transparent (for indoor and outdoor use, dry & wet) 
• PE foil, white (for indoor and outdoor use, dry & wet) 
• Recycled PE foil, white (for indoor and outdoor use, dry & wet) 

Note on sustainability: Depending on the material you choose, our roll labels are made from 100% recyclable and compostable materials. In addition, with every order you support an environmental protection project, such as the reforestation of German forests or the protection of the biodiversity.

THE FINISHES: ELEGANT APPEARANCE AND IMPROVED PROTECTION

Would you like to give your stickers a particularly exclusive look and make them even more resistant to external influences such as UV rays, moisture and scratches? No problem: we'll be happy to upgrade your roll labels by laminating them or applying a protective coating, optionally with a glossy or matte look. 

THE PRINTING PROCESS: FLEXO OR DIGITAL PRINTING?

Depending on your wishes, you can have labels printed by us using digital printing or the conventional flexographic printing process. One thing is certain: Both of these printing processes achieve a result in excellent quality. 

• Digital printing is the more cost-effective option for short runs and also offers the opportunity to personalize roll labels with individual data, such as continuous numbering, coupon codes and even changing motives.

• Flexographic printing on the other hand, is associated with lower costs for medium and large print runs and is also characterized by its brilliant colors, which can be mixed at will from the color shades of the CMYK palette. In addition, flexographic printing is very environmentally friendly.
